About Raha

A small online practice led by psychologist Rayan Idris, built around one idea: everyone deserves room to breathe.

A letter from Rayan

Therapy is a place to slow down. Not to be fixed, and not to perform being fine, but to understand what is happening inside you, at a pace that feels safe.

I work with adults carrying the weight of difficult experiences: trauma that still echoes, anxiety that crowds the day, low moods that make ordinary things heavy.

Our sessions happen online by video, with both of us on camera. You can join from home in Riyadh, Jeddah or anywhere in the world, in Arabic or in English, whichever lets you speak most freely.

If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, start with a free 15‑minute call. No commitment, only a conversation.

How I work

Every person arrives with a different story. What stays the same is the care taken to make the space feel safe.

  • Trauma‑informed, at your pace
  • Warm, non‑judgemental and confidential
  • Grounded in established therapies
  • Arabic, English, or both in one session
  • Cameras on for both of us
  • Clear fees and no long contracts

What Raha means

In Arabic, raha is the feeling of ease that comes when something heavy is finally set down. It is the word in raḥat al‑bāl, peace of mind.

The word grows from the same root as rūḥ, the spirit, and rīḥ, the breeze. In Arabic, rest sits close to breath.

راحةraha · rest, ease
روحrūḥ · spirit, soul
ريحrīḥ · breeze, wind

Raha is not the absence of difficulty. It is having room to breathe inside it. That is what we work toward, together.

We chose an Arabic word because so many people live between two languages. Raha is easy to say in both, and it names the feeling that so many come to therapy looking for.

How we strive for it

Room to breathe

Sessions move at your pace. Nothing is forced, and silence is allowed.

Understanding before fixing

We start by making sense of what you feel, so change grows from understanding rather than pressure.

Ease in every step

Clear fees, simple booking, your language, from your own home. Asking for help should not add weight.

Respect for who you are

Your faith, family and values are part of your story, and they are welcome here.
